Jill Ghiardi-Coignet is beginning a new journey at Harlan after 19 years as the principal of Quarton Elementary. Prior to becoming principal, she held the same position in Livonia Public Schools. Her teaching journey began in Minnesota, where she had her first classroom, before eventually returning to Michigan. She also had the opportunity to teach in the Upper Peninsula.

Jill earned her undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and went on to complete her masters at Michigan State University. When she has the chance, she and her family love traveling back to the Upper Peninsula, where she grew up, as well as to France, her husband's home country. Jill is a proud mother of two children. Together, they enjoy exploring the outdoors with their Vizsla dog named Nola. Being part of this community brings Jill great joy, and she is honored to serve this wonderful school.
